Zoom Songwriter Circle December 10th!

The North Florida Folk Network is excited to announce we are holding another Zoom Songwriter Circle online on Thursday, December 10th, 2020 from 7-9 pm! The event will be hosted by Cindy Bear and Franc Robert (Bear and Robert).

Thank you to all who tuned in to our first NFFN Zoom Songwriter Circle earlier this month - we had a great audience, and the company and music was wonderful!

Bear and Robert will be doing it again on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 7-9 pm, so bring your original Christmas Songs you are writing or have written along for the season! We are going to start picking a songwriting theme for each month to help prompt those who would like to participate to write. Think of some one word subjects and bring it to the jam!

Everyone who attends is welcome to share a few of their original songs, and listen to original songs by other participating songwriters, time permitting. This is a great opportunity to get your songs out and see everyone again. You do not have to be a member to join in, and listeners are welcome too!

The links for the Zoom event will be sent out by the evening of December 9th via email, and will also be listed on our Facebook page and NFFN website.

For those of you who are new to this, all you need to do to join in is click on the Zoom link when it becomes available. If you don't already have the Zoom application, it will prompt you to download the app (it's FREE), and should only take a few minutes. If you would like to download Zoom before the event, you can get it here: https://zoom.us/

You will need a device with a built-in or attached camera and microphone, such as a iPad, cell phone, laptop, or tablet. Some desktop computers may not have these features. The host will activate the Zoom meeting 30 minutes prior so you can see if your connection is working beforehand. Feel free to use headphones for better sound quality if you like.

Everyone will be able to play one or two of their original songs when their turn comes around, and there will be a chat room available to give feedback on everyone's songs if you wish.

During the song, everyone but the songwriter will be muted, then in between songs everyone will be un-muted so we can interact with each other. There will also be a chat room available to make comments.

While it is not quite the same as being together in person, it will be fun to see and interact with each other, and at least play some music!

If you have any questions, please send us a message on this page, or contact Cindy Bear at (904) 626-2829.

Thank you for your support of the North Florida Folk Network, and hope to see you there!!
